The vertical Insta360 Quick Reader for your X3 action camera allows you to record footage onto the module and transfer it to your phone or computer without eating up additional camera battery. By inserting a microSD card into the reader and plugging it into the USB Type-C port of your X3, you can store data directly onto the device while you shoot. To preview and edit the footage while on the go, simply insert the Lightning or USB Type-C connector into a compatible mobile device and open the Insta360 app. Files can also be transferred and accessed through a personal computer.

Can tis be used on any microSD card to transfer data thru your iPhone or only Insta360 data?
The Insta360 Quick Reader for X3 and Insta360 app on a smartphone would recognize files stored on the MicroSD card if they were captured using the Insta360 X3. On a computer, the files will be fully accessed.

The iPhone connection side here is a lightning connector. Do you have a version that is usb-c to (newer) iPhone?
The Insta360 has a universal USB-C adapter for iPhone and Android based phones, but this adapter is only available for the INSTA360 Ace and Ace pro model.
