Godox DP1000III-V Reviews

Great bang for your buck

It's hard to top this studio mono light, and for the price, are you kidding me? We tested it next to a Godox QT1200IIIM, and despite this light being 200 watt seconds dimmer, it actually output 1/10th of a stop brighter because the QT1200 uses a tinted Pyrex dome to color correct the flash tube. I wish the modeling light light were brighter, and the head is a little bulky and takes up a lot of space on a shelf, but this strobe seems impossible to beat for the price. And the bowens mount allows us to use all kinds of modifiers that are interchangeable with our other gear. Great light!

Excellent light

Bought these to replace some Impact lights. The Godox is far superior in all respects. However, while the lights are great the Godox flash trigger (reviewed separately) has the worst instructions I have ever seen. You will be happy with the lights, but unless you are doing something relatively simple, find a different way to trigger them.

Will this light trigger with an Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter?
Asked by: William
The Godox DP1000III-V Professional Studio Flash with LED Modeling Lamp will not work with an Elinchrom transmitter. You will need the Godox Transmitter Godox XPro II TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Canon Cameras; you need to match the remote to the camera.

Asked by: Thomas
Yes, the Godox DP1000III-V Professional Studio Flash with LED Modeling Lamp is compatible with the Godox X3 Touchscreen TTL Wireless Flash Triggers a long as the trigger is the right model to match the brand camera. For example, choose the Godox X3 C Touchscreen TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Canon if you are shooting with a Canon camera.
