Dollar for dollar it's better than the MC it's trying to copy. If perfection is your main concern then you'll probably want the mc, but if having multiple lights is your main goal this becomes more and more interesting the more of them you buy. The biggest difference is looking at the light itself there are clear diodes that each have a clear light path and you can see that in the light pattern pretty clearly. Once you put the silicone cover on, I can't see a difference between this and the MC enough to matter. Red doesn't look very red but it's no different on my MC. Has an app just like the mc. Wireless charging etc. The cover over the lights is very thin and flexible but if you're careful with your gear and store it with the silicone cover on it doesn't matter. If you have no interest in buying multiple lights then spend the extra ten bucks and get the MC. The prices bounce around a bit so if they end up being the same price at any point get the apature one.

As a background light, is it powerfull enough to color a background for portrait photography where keylight is a 400w flash?

No, it is not. The Godox C5R Knowled RGB Creative LED Light is a continuous LED light, which cannot compete with the output of a 400W strobe light fixture. If you wish to use a background light with a 400W strobe, I recommend using another strobe with a gel with the appropriate color for your usage needs. LED continuous lights should be used with other continuous light fixtures. In order to use the Godox C5R Knowled RGB Creative LED Light with a strobe, you would need a long shutter speed for the light output from the Godox C5R Knowled RGB Creative LED Light to register on the background.
