Acoustic, Reverberation, and Noise Reduction modes provide professional soundscapes using an eight-level noise-reduction algorithm. The transmitter's battery 500mAh capacity enables life up to 40 hours or 200 hours of continuous operation when used with the included high-capacity charging case. A cold shoe mount adapter is also included for added mounting options and a protective storage bag makes carrying it all simple and worry-free.

YC Onion C1 Reviews

Returning

Below, you can read my reason for returning the YC Onion C1. In all fairness to the company and end users of this product, you may not experience what I have and find this the perfect wireless mic unit for your needs. I gave this a 2 star rating because it has a good solid build quality: The product is advertised as broadcast quality audio. It is anything but. There is a hissing noise when using this product attached to my iPhone. The supplied Lavalier mic, when used, worsened the hissing and was accompanied by an additional whistling sound. With no lav attached and furthering the distance of my iPhone 13 Pro Max from the unit, I was able to lower the hissing sound; however, it was still quite pronounced. On my Z9 I was unable to connect this unit. Once this discovery was made, I thought I'd just use the YC Onion C1 on my iPhone w/o a lav and fix hissing in post. As a paid professional, this would be too time-consuming and, in the end, costly to fix. Time is money. I wanted to like this unit but the unwanted noise level renders this product useless for work.

Slight issue with interference.

First time ever using wireless mics. Saw these on a YouTube video and was very impressed with the quality, price and the amount of accessories included. On initial trials they worked flawlessly. When I used them in actual filming scenarios I was getting a humming interference in the background, not always but enough for it to be a problem. It was always with the Lav mic connected as well. I haven't discovered as of yet what may be causing this issue but I'll keep experimenting with them. Other than the interference issue they are fantastic, easy to use they stay charged for extremely long times. Hopefully I can resolve my issue and these will be a part of my video process for a long time!
