The Canon EU-V3 Expansion Unit mounts easily on your C300 Mark III or C500 Mark II camera, providing multiple interfaces for easier integration with a studio or live production setup. The EU-V3 expansion unit is powered via the 4-pin XLR DC input or using a battery and the V-mount plate. This unit provides a D-Tap output, return video, tally, Ethernet/XC protocol, RS-422 Remote B, and RJ45 Ethernet interfaces plus a 4-pin Hirose 12V output and 12-pin lens port.

Why did they get rid of the Genlock port? Isn't that a pretty important port for Live/Multi-Cam production?
The Canon EU-V2 Expansion Unit 2 would be the model you could work with if Genlock is required.

The Canon EU-V3 Expansion Unit has a slimmer profile, lacks the audio controls of the V2, the V3 has more function buttons, and it has two different power options, 4-Pin XLR Power/ 4-Pin Hirose (12V), unlike the V2 which only has the 4-Pin Hirose (12V).
