CAMVATE C2979 Overview

Use this Universal Tripod Mount Rig with Manfrotto Quick Release Plate & Lens Support from CAMVATE to build a camera rig capable of transitioning from rod- to tripod-mounted configurations with ease. Tripod mounting can be achieved using the various 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads on the mounting plate or with compatible Manfrotto models using the included quick release plate.

The 15mm rod clamps integrated into the mounting plate and lens support allow you to attach each component to the included 15mm aluminum rods and incorporate handgrips, matte boxes, or follow focus systems to your loadout. The Y-shaped lens support has rubber padding and works to reduce strain on your camera's lens mount while eliminating vibrations.

I have a vintage 300mm Pantax prime lens that is too heavy to put on my mirrorless camera on a tripod without severely straining the lens mount. I tried and returned a similar rig where the lens support riser wouldn't go low enough to fit under the lens. This rig is very adjustable and fits the lens perfectly. Plus the design and machining are top class.

I have a Fuji GFX 100II and a 110mm lens. I was concerned about tripod use with only a1/4 screw holding all the weight. I have to use a tripod for everything so I bought this lens support. When assembling, the tubes are so close together than you can't tighten the wing nut. Too close to the tubes. I'll file off some of the thumb screw and it should be ok. Or you can just work with the apparatus and make it work as is. A little disappointed but it can be worked out...no instructions but you don't need them.
