NOT Compatible with Arri Standard

Despite the product description, this set is NOT compatible with Arri Standard Dovetail systems. Both the bridge plate and dovetail are nearly a full inch narrower than Arri Standard. Sometimes one brand’s dovetail doesn’t fit with another brand’s bridge plate because there is a slight variance with the mouth shape on the bridge plate where it slides on; this is beyond a slight variance and not even close to being in spec for Arri Standard. If you only want this to be for one camera and one purpose, it is finely built and constructed and the rosettes are a nice touch at first glance, but if your goal is like mine and this was bought to be used as a budget option to fit with the rest of the Arri Standard Dovetail ecosystem, then this product is certainly not for you.

Can you pass a single rod all the way through this base plate from front to back?

Yes, the CAMVATE 10" Dovetail Plate and Quick Release Baseplate will accept one or two 15mm rods. Both rods can pass all the way through the plate.
