I ordered this Plugable serial adapater in hopes that I would actually receive the item that is featured in the photo on the B&H website. Unfortunately, as has been the case when I've ordered the same item from both Amazon and Staples, the item pictured in the photo is not the same as what was shipped to me. I need the previous version of the Plugable adapter (the one with the blue, hard plastic on each end of the device) as it doesn't require drivers to be loaded in order to work on a couple of old, Windows XP-running laptop computers that are used at my place of business each and every day. The newer version of the Plugable adpater will not work on these old XP-running computers without installing the drivers, and installing those drivers causes the two laptops that need the Plugable serial adpaters to not work properly (i.e. they won't detect the new serial adapter or even the older version of the Plugable adapter that has worked previously). I'm not mad; I'm simply frustrated that the item displayed in the product photograph isn't the same as what was shipped to me.
