Plugable UGA-165 Overview

The Plugable USB 2.0 to DVI, HDMI, and VGA Video Graphics Adapter allows you to add an additional monitor to virtually any Windows laptop, desktop, or tablet. Use up to six adapters to add multiple displays to compatible devices, with each adapter supporting a single monitor. Multitask with a dedicated monitor for each document or application. This adapter sports a USB-A male host connector and DVI-D display connection. HDMI and VGA displays are supported via the included adapters.

Connect multiple USB 2.0 display adapters to your computer to expand your screen space. Up to six adapters can be connected, supporting an additional 1920 x 1080 HDMI, DVI, or VGA display via each adapter.

System Requirements
This adapter works on systems with as little as 2 Ghz of processing power and 2GB RAM.
Adaptive Design
The built-in DVI interface converts to HDMI or VGA with the included adapters. Please note, this interface does not support audio pass-through. Native USB 2.0 connectivity also works on USB 3.0 systems, or USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 systems with an appropriate adapter, available separately.
Broad Compatibility
Drivers for Windows XP and later are available via Windows Update or download. Drivers for MacOS 10.14 and later are available for download. Chrome and Linux operating systems are not supported.

Please note, USB speed limitations may prevent smooth playback of full-screen HD videos and games. DirectX is not supported. This adapter does not support HDCP protocols and does not support playback of encrypted Blu-ray disks or other copy-protected content. Furthermore, this adapter cannot be used with non-DisplayLink USB graphics adapters such as MCT, J5, and SMSC. WDDM-compatible graphics drivers are required. Some legacy graphics drivers including Intel HD4000 and earlier do not support mirror or cloned external displays in Windows 10.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Didn’t know I needed this until I got the chance to try it. Great for home business set up to help manage two screens at a time. It was easy to connect and didn’t need a lot of time to figure it out.

Great to add another monitor to an older laptop

I use this to add a 2nd/3rd monitor to a laptop to drive a remote display 100 foot away. These additional monitors display the score of the current competitor in the warm-up area.
