The Plugable USB 3.0 Sharing Switch delivers a one-touch switching solution for access between two computers. Connect a USB hub, keyboard and mouse, graphics adapter, or docking station and switch between hosts with the touch of a single button. A bus-powered design minimizes cable clutter. This switch is compatible with a wide range of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1, 2.0, and 1.1 devices and supports Windows XP and later, macOS, and Linux.
This hub does not charge connected laptops or drive USB-C or Thunderbolt devices with video outputs. It is not recommended for switching mass storage devices such as hard drives, flash drives, and card readers, as these devices should be unmounted or safely ejected via the host operating system prior to switching. Furthermore, autosensing of hosts is not supported; a manual press of the button is required. USB-C devices with video output or power delivery are not supported. The use of USB-A to B cables longer than 6' is also not supported.
