Plugable USB-VGA-165 Overview

The Plugable USB-A 2.0 to VGA Video Graphics Adapter allows you to connect a VGA monitor via a USB-A port for improved multitasking and productivity. Utilizing the DisplayLink DL-165 graphics chipset, up to six adapters can be used at once to connect to multiple monitors. One adapter is required per monitor. Please note, this adapter supports VGA displays only and is compatible with Windows 7 and later; macOS, Linux, and Chrome OS are not supported.

Multiple Display Support
Expand your screen space to six additional 1920 x 1080 displays by connecting multiple USB 2.0 display adapters. Each display requires its own adapter. The USB-A 2.0 connector is compatible with USB-A 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 ports and USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports via a compatible adapter, available separately.

Compact and Portable Design
A compact and portable design allows for easy stowage in any backpack or laptop bag, taking up roughly the same space as a pack of playing cards. Plus, this adapter is bus powered so no external power adapter is needed.
Compatibility
This adapter is compatible with Windows 7 and later running on computers with at least 2 GHz of processing power and 2GB of RAM. Windows users can download DisplayLink drivers from Plugable that are verified to provide optimal performance. Windows drivers can also be installed via Windows Update using an internet connection. This adapter is not compatible with Windows 10 S Mode or Windows RT.

USB speed limitations prevent smooth playback with full-screen HD videos, and games may suffer similar performance limitations or may not work at all as no direct hardware access (DirectX) is possible. Furthermore, this adapter is not compatible with macOS, Chrome OS, or Linux; this adapter does not support HDCP, preventing use with Bluray disks or any other copy-protected content. Furthermore, this adapter cannot be mixed with non-DisplayLink USB graphics adapters such as MCT, J5, and SMSC devices. WDDM compatible graphics drivers are required, and some legacy graphics drivers including Intel HD4000 and prior drivers do not support mirror or cloned external displays in Windows 10 and later.
