Available for download, iZotope Ozone Elements Version 9 has been designed to give beginners a simple and effective tool to use when mastering audio in their productions. It utilizes much of the same technology used in the Ozone bundle, but scales them down for the novice engineer.
Ozone Elements Version 9 provides the Master Assistant tool, which creates intelligent custom presets suited to your individual mix and to the eventual delivery target (streaming, CD, etc.). Ozone's maximizer is on hand for achieving your desired level, as are threshold learn, Stereo Independence, and two IRC algorithms.
The Imager lets you manipulate the overall stereo-width of your master, giving you Stereoize mode for widening monaural elements, an integrated vectorscope, and a correlation meter for learning to identify potential phase issues. The Imager has been improved for transparency, compared to version 8.
EQ and dynamics sections are both provided. When compared to the previous version, Ozone Elements v9 has been upgraded in terms of CPU efficiency. You'll notice faster loading times upon a session's startup, for instance.
Ozone Elements Version 9 sports many presets divided into genre-specific, artist-signature, and all-purpose categories. Available for download, iZotope Nectar Elements is an easy-to-use plug-in for processing vocals. It utilizes a Vocal Assistant to analyze your audio track and automatically apply complementary processing. It can fix EQ problems, bolster EQ assets, smooth out the dynamics with compression, apply intelligent de-essing, pitch correction, and more.
At the analysis stage, the plug-in offers three different vibes and three different intensities. Thus, you can make the decision to process vocals in a vintage, modern, or dialogue-centric manner, all while choosing to apply light, moderate, or aggressive processing. Once that's done, you're presented with seven slider-based scaling controls. Use these for further tweaking of EQ, de-essing, compression, ambience, and more.
