Hanwha Vi ion ANO-L7082R Reviews

Commercial Storage Security

Use this for a commercial storage lot. Replaced a Swann system with Hanwha. Picture is better quality and the zoom feature is nice. They are better quality than the Swann, that is to be expected with the price compared to the Swann system. Have had these cameras in outdoor service for a year now. I notice some fogging on the lens during extremely damp weather only on the cameras completely exposed, but it goes away when the weather changes. I have been satisfied with the performance.

Good basic camera with a few compromises

This was the first Hanwha camera I purchased, as I am moving away from Hikvision due to limited availability and security concerns. The Hanwha cameras are NDAA-compliant. I sequester my Hikvisions on a physically separate LAN due to "phone home" concerns. The Hanwha has a plastic housing and mount so time will tell how well it holds up. Metal mounts usually have infinite angle positions, relying on the friction of the mating surfaces and a tight mount screw to hold the camera at the desired angle. This camera has mating ridged faces on it so aiming angles are limited to whatever the ridges align to. So precise aiming is a bit compromised. WDR capabilities seem to be pretty good. Image quality is good. It took several hours to get the camera to play well with BlueIris NVR software, as the default settings caused BlueIris to try to use the second stream, and I had frame underrun issues. Once I found the stream settings and only enabled the main stream to H.264, the underrun issue went away. I also had to adjust the key frame interval (GOV) to 15 to satisfy BlueIris. The zoom setting is not clearly marked (it's on the zoom page of the camera's web interface). Kudos to Hanwha's tech support for responding promptly to help me with that. However I have never gotten the BlueIris ONVIF-based zoom controls to work with this camera.
