Great choice when working indoors or at event in tight space

It's all about options. Sometimes you just dont need the flag and because of tight quarters or close to subject you dont need or want the flag in the way. yes you can remove it but this gives a bit of a soft buffer and allows a more compact setup when needed. I shoot a lot of event stuff and having the option to use this when in a crowd gives me a bit of comfort not hitting someone even just traversing the crowd.

This complements the lightweight rig that I move around from my main studio to my secondary studio. When you're on a tripod, it really doesn't matter but when you transfer over to a suction cup to a mirror, this is huge when it comes to weight.
