MSI B650-P WiFi Overview

Get your next build off on the right foot with the MSI PRO B650-P WIFI AM5 ATX Motherboard. Offering robust connectivity for gaming-focused components and unique customization options, the PRO B650-P WIFI is ideal for both new and seasoned builders alike.

With an AM5 socket, you can support a wide range of AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors. Four dual-channel DDR5 RAM slots allow you to install up to 128GB of memory so you can scale your multitasking performance to your liking. Six SATA and two M.2 interfaces allow you to create an array of storage drives for your games, media, and other important applications. Four PCIe x16 slots enable you to easily install graphics and utility cards. The back panel provides you with ample connectivity options, giving you four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 and three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, giving you data transfer speeds up to 5 and 10 Gb/s, respectively, suitable for a wide range of peripherals such as your keyboard and mouse. A single USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 port offers up to 20 Gb/s speeds, suitable for audio arrays. Bluetooth 5.2 technology provides support for wireless devices such as headphones and controllers. When combined with Ryzen processors with integrated graphics, the DisplayPort and HDMI video outputs can provide you with enhanced visual capabilities suitable for light workloads and troubleshooting. Connect to your network via Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) technology or use the integrated 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port for a reliable wired connection. You also get dual BIOS, allowing you to swap back and forth between two different setups with ease.

DIY Friendly
The PRO B650-P WIFI includes a variety of built-in functions that enable an easy installation ideal for both new and seasoned builders. PCI-E Steel Armor slot provides extra rigidity to the expansion slot by adding metal plating and extra anchor points. EZ M.2 Clips make installation of solid-state drives easier and quicker. EZ DEBUG LED, EZ LED Control, and Flash BIOS Button streamline your troubleshooting process in the event of a failure.
Expansion Slots
The PRO B650-P WIFI includes four total PCIe x16 slots that operate on different electrical patterns to ensure compatibility with a wide range of graphics and utility cards. The PCIe 4.0 x16 slot is for powerful GPUs along with one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot which operates in x4 mode. Two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots operate in x1 mode, suitable for devices such as network and sound cards.
Thermal Enhancements
The PRO B650-P WIFI includes an array of thermal enhancements that allow you to fully utilize the power of your components without worry of throttling. Extended heat sink design along the back panel, MOSFET K7 thermal pad, M.2 Shield Frozr, and extra choke pad all ensure the motherboard remains cool even under heavy loads. Additionally, the PRO B650-P WIFI includes enhanced headers for CPU and liquid cooling pump systems for efficient cooling.
Performance Boosting Technologies
Integrated software- and hardware-based technologies are integrated into the fabric of the PRO B650-P WIFI design. Not only is electrical load managed throughout the 2 ounce copper thickened PCB, but efficiency is optimized with Dual CPU Power design. Core Boost and Memory Boost technologies promote greater communications between the processor and memory modules for better performance. MSI's Lightning Gen 4 PCI-E Slot and M.2 Slot technology leverage the CPU and B650 chipset to enhance performance for the graphics card and M.2 storage drives.
