The Gator Frameworks Slim-Profile Desktop Microphone Boom Arm is 32.75" (83.19 cm) long. It is not designed to be taken apart or shortened. If you want a shorter arm, we have the Samson MBA28 Microphone Boom Arm (B&H # SAMBA28), which is 28" (71.12 cm) long and supports up to 5 lbs.
