Godox SL200III Overview

The SL200III Daylight LED Video Light from Godox is a sophisticated light source with a full range of professional features. Color temperature is a solid and dependable 5600K and it has high CRI/TLCI ratings of 96/97 to indicate accurate color reproduction. The light intensity is variable from 0 to 100% and while you can make adjustments locally on the fixture you can also make them from distances up to 164' with an optional radio remote or from up to 98' away with your smartphone and the Godox app. The fixture is kept cool by two quiet fans that can be turned off in sound sensitive situations.

The SL200III also has eight special effects, including flash 1, 2, 3, broken bulb, storm 1, 2, 3, and television. The fixture has a well-designed yoke that can rotate 360° to accommodate large modifiers or subjects close to the light. This light is ready for worldwide use via its 100-240 VAC multi-voltage power supply.

This light is great. It is way brighter and better color quality than my Aputure light which was more than twice the price!

Can anyone give example of what aperture, ISO, ...

Can anyone give example of what aperture, ISO, and shutter speed possible with this light in softbox (and at what distance)?

Unfortunately, the photo metrics are not provided in such a format due to the multiple variables like camera sensor which have different ISO sensitivity, lens used and soft-box size, inner material, shape and diffusion, to provide such a testing will also require a proper set up with blackout room for accuracy, at the moment we do not have such an option. I will happily let you know that as for LED standard there is an information regarding the brightness of the light in LUX which is a measurement of lumens which produce light on the COB (chip on board) fixture 5600K: 8881 fc / 95,600 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m (with Reflector)* (more in manual attached on our website).

What is the difference between the 160W and 215W?

What is the difference between the 160W and 215W?

The difference between the 160W and the 215W Godox SL300IIIBI Bi-Color LED Monolight is the light output: the 160W version has output of 58,000 Lux at 3.3', while the 215W version has light output of 74,000 Lux at 3.3'.

As I will be using this for video as well as stills, low fan noise is paramount. How much fan noise do these produce?

The Godox SL200III SL Series LED Video Monolight (2-Light Kit) has ventilation holes but does not have a cooling system. The light will be silent.
