The 4-Light Kit with Background Support System from Neewer contains everything you'll need to get up and running shooting portraits, catalogs, and ecommerce products using still or video imaging. The kit includes two lamp sockets for the provided 45W daylight-balanced CFL bulbs. For lighting options, Neewer has included two 33" translucent white umbrellas and two 24 x 24" softboxes with integrated lamp sockets. The umbrellas are broad modifiers that will widen the beam spread and soften the look. Similarly, the softboxes produce a medium-contrast, flattering quality of light but contain the light inside the softbox for more directional control.

The Neewer 4-Light Kit with Background Support System (B&H# NE66600015) does include three polyster muslin backgrounds, among many other items. Those are generally best spot-cleaned by hand, and any detergent used should be mild. While it is not recommended to wash them using a washing machine, if you do end up doing that then the water should be cold and only a mild detergent should be used. They should not be put in a dryer. The greatest danger of damage comes from heat, so hanging them up to dry (and probably steaming them later to minimize wrinkles) is the best practice.
