An Advanced USB Mic for Conferencing, Streaming, and Recording
The SSL CONNEX Portable USB Microphone from Solid State Logic leverages the company's 50 years of audio experience to provide streamers, content creators, and musicians with a versatile, four-capsule mic array capable of providing high-quality reproduction of speech, vocals, and instruments for meetings, streaming applications, and recordings. Engineered from the ground up for today's on-the-go digital world, the SSL CONNEX offers four user modes that make it easy to get great sounding results quickly wherever you are. In addition to these DSP presets, you can also engage the Immersive mode to access all four mic capsules for immersive recordings. The class-compliant USB-C connector is ready for use with a wide range of computers and tablets and the mic can be placed on any flat surface or mounted to a mic stand or tripod stand using the 1/4"-20 female thread on the bottom and included adapter.
4 User Modes + Immersive Setting
- Solo (White): Optimized for a single sound source from the front of the unit and well suited to conference/WFH calls or live streaming with a single presenter. CONNEX is optimized for speech coming from the front while reducing unwanted sound from back and sides. This is the ideal mode for making clear calls in a busy office, café, or airport lounge.
- Group (Green): Designed for multiple sound sources such as round table conference calls or live streams with multiple presenters, CONNEX’s quad microphone array and automatic smart mixer means all presenters are clearly heard and unwanted background noise is reduced.
- Vocal (Magenta): Use Vocal mode when inspiration hits and you just have to record that vocal performance. Designed for picking up a single sound source from the front of the unit, but able to handle higher volume levels (singing) than the Solo (White) mode. Vocal mode will reject sound from the sides and rear of CONNEX—making your vocal performance absolutely sing.
- Music (Blue): Designed for a group of musicians positioned around the CONNEX, Music mode allows creativity as a group be captured in all its collaborative glory. CONNEX intelligently alters the sensitivity of the microphone array to reduce the noise floor and unwanted background sound in the recording or live stream. Combine this with CONNEX’s sophisticated studio-quality processing and you’re on the way to a great sounding track.
- Immersive: All four modes feature an advanced immersive recording setting. This allows you to access each of the four individual mic sources for the purpose of immersive and spatial recordings or broadcasts.
