So this device will add mic audio to the existing HDMI audio and combine both audio's in the HDMI output?

The MuxLab 4K HDMI 2.0 Audio Embedder can intake audio from the HDMI input, TOSLINK S/PDIF Input, or the 1/8" / 3.5 mm Aux/Line Input, and then merge it with the HDMI output.
