Revolution Preamp & APHEX-Powered DSP
The Rode NT-USB+ is a revised version of the original NT-USB mic, upgraded with a built-in Revolution preamp and a DSP chip for vocal processing.
The high-gain, low-noise Revolution preamp provides 20 dB of gain to ensure a robust signal level for the 24-bit / 48 kHz analog to digital converter.
A built-in DSP chip allows the mic to process your vocals internally without taxing your computer's processor and incurring latency.
Apply advanced APHEX audio processing via Rode's free podcasting and streaming software, Rode Connect. This includes a high-pass filter for cutting out low-end rumble, a noise gate for eliminating background noise, a compressor for delivering punchy and balanced sound, and the legendary Aural Exciter and Big Bottom effects for rich, broadcast voice tone.

Since I bought it, it has always given me problems with noise, or after being connected for a while, it starts making strange sounds. One of the worst products I've bought, I regret it.
Recorded lectures finally sound professional

I am a university professor. With the pivot to online classes, I had to record my PowerPoint lectures at home, with no access to a sound booth or any other type of professional equipment. Needless to say, the sound in my lectures was dismal, tinny, and embarrassing. I then switched to a Yeti Blue and that helped somewhat, but not enough. Finally, I purchased this Rode based on the reviews. Eureka! I now have good sound in my recordings! And the automatic cardioid pattern really works - it only records me, and not my dog :) Worth every penny.

In order to use the Rode NT-USB+ with an iPad 9th Gen, you will need to use the Apple Lightning to USB 3.0 Type-A Camera Adapter (B&H # APMK0W2AMA).

Are the DSP processing settings retained when the mic is removed for the USP connection to the computer? In other words, if the mic is set up on one computer but moved to another computer, will the processing still be the same or will it have to be set up again?

If you are trying to connect the Rode NT-USB+ Professional USB Microphone to an iPad with a lightning connector, you can use the Rode SC19 cable (BH #ROSC19). If you are trying to connect the Rode NT-USB+ Professional USB Microphone to an iPad with a USB-C connector, you can use the Rode SC17 cable (BH #ROSC17G).
