Very versatile clamp
This is a very versatile clamp. It clamps quite well to pipes and other devices and works similar to a construction clamp. I have tested it out for clamping a camera to a railing with good success and a table. The only thing I noticed is that the red piece on the one side of the clamp can get deformed temporarily causing it to fall off the clamp the clamp is released. You have to be mindful not to lose the red piece when unclamping. After unclamped it will go back to its original shape.
Flexible mounting options and considerable clamping force
This clamp gives the user several 1/4 and 3/8 mounting options as well as its F22 Quick Release mounting feature. I love the ability to clamp it on objects up to 120mm thick. The clamping force is sufficient for mounting relatively heavy equipment, but caution must be used as it could be clamped with enough force to damage softer material like some woods. As with any bar type clamp, it is almost impossible to install this clamp one-handed as the part with the handle must be slid up the bar to its initial position while holding the stationary part of the clamp where you want it with the other hand. If your equipment is already mounted on the clamp this can be kind of tricky. You also need to be sure to have the red handle released when positioning the sliding part on the bar or you wont be able to pull the handle back to actuate the clamping mechanism. Overall, I would highly recommend this clamp if you need a highly flexible, solid, portable mounting device and are willing to deal with a little awkwardness in its installation.
