I just wish it was the other way around

The only thing I don't like about this is that the SDI ports are on the opposite side of where more cameras put them, thus having to wrap the SDI cable around the bottom or top of the camera, which isn't ideal. Also wished the power passed through when the DJI unit is off. The DJI unit has to be turned on for power passthrough which makes me slightly nervous about home much watts it can handle in the passthrough

No better way to go

Fits perfectly and does it's job great! Not sure if there are any other options out there, but even if there were I would still go with Tilta personally.

So this module must be connected to a V-mount battery to power the transmitter? Can it not receive power from a camera?

Yes, the Tilta Power Supply Module for DJI Video Transmitter (V-Mount to V-Mount) would work with the V-Mount connnection on the RED V-Raptor.
