Can't this glass be applied directly over the screen or should the original plastic protection be removed? Thanks
The monitor screens on Sony cameras are plastic. They have no plastic or other protective coating on them unless an end user puts one on. (They do have an antireflective coating). If you try to remove the plastic from the monitor on a new Sony camera, you will be trying to remove the monitor screen itself. Not a good idea. Why they don't make these from the same material they use on smartphones is a mystery.
