This plate is well built and has a several features that stand out... - metal build - safety pins (keep the camera from sliding) - the rubber grips are thick and have a nice texture to them Having bought several Oben products in the past, I expect this small release plate to stand the test of time. I'm using this plate as a second one to use with my Oben MVH-4490 Mini Video Head, instead of having to screw and unscrew the plate all the time ,whenever I want to switch devices. Instead, they would be already mounted on my devices (iPhone, mirrorless, DSLR camera etc) and ready to swap immediately. It is all metal and well machined, and of course, it has safety pins to prevent your camera from sliding off the video head, front or back.
