Panasonic GH6 Overview

A well-rounded starter set, the Panasonic Lumix GH6 Mirrorless Camera with 12-60mm Lens and Bag Kit from B&H bundles the sleek and powerful mirrorless camera and Leica Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm f/2.8-4 wide-angle to short telephoto zoom with a stylish and protective camera bag and memory card.

Think Tank Photo Retrospective 7M Shoulder Bag for DSLR/Mirrorless Cameras (Pinestone)

The Retrospective 7M Shoulder Bag from Think Tank Photo stores and protects a DSLR or mirrorless camera with an attached 24-70mm lens, plus an additional 70-200mm lens, a flash, and additional accessories. Alternatively, you can fit a small drone with its controller and accessories in place of your camera equipment. The bag is designed to look like a shoulder bag rather than a camera bag, but it offers dedicated compartments for camera gear.

The bag is made of durable cotton canvas that has been treated for water resistance. It has a large flap with dual turn buckles to keep it securely closed and an interior nylon lining padded with closed-cell foam for protection. The main compartment has padded touch-fastening PE-reinforced dividers for organizing your gear. A large pocket under the flap will hold and organize memory cards, cables, your wallet, keys, and other smaller gear.

A pocket on the back of the bag holds papers and documents like boarding passes safely and securely with fast access to them. A water bottle/accessory pocket on the exterior can be collapsed and strapped tight to further minimize the profile. A simple webbing rail accommodates modular pouches or a carabineer, so you can further customize the bag to your needs and gear. Carry the Retrospective 7M by the padded removable top handle, or wear it with the adjustable padded shoulder strap. You can also attach it to the handle of a rolling carry-on bag. To further protect your valuable gear, a seam-sealed rain cover is included for wet weather conditions.

Panasonic GH6 Reviews

Not well made, fails often

Got two, lightly used professionally, less than two years now and eight will record more than 20 seconds of video before failing and recording black with no sound. Out of warranty, so all this money lost. Forced to buy new ones as there's no help to repair or replace, even at a fee. Very super disappointed in what a super short life span it has. All my company's other cameras over the past two plus decades have held up and still run, except this one. Look at something built with better quality and longevity. Total lemons.

Love The GH6

I shoot films and we don’t always (almost never) have permits so I wanted a run and gun cine camera that I don’t have to rig out like my Z cam M4 or my BMPCC (og 4K). If you like myself have manual focus MFT cine glass, this is one of the best cameras money can by. It does everything so well. I recently won a photo competition and had one of my shots published. (Almost all of the other competing photographers were shooting full frame lol) I thought I’d be using ProRes more but I’ve been shooting and editing the 5.8K open gate .MOV files w the Sirui Anamorphic's and the footage is so beautiful and easy to grade. Vlog is stunning for video color grading using the CST tool in Resolve. I have one piece of constructive criticism for Panasonic… Please add low pass filters (OLPF) to your video focused cameras. Sharpness is easily fixable in post; aliasing/false colors/moire is almost impossible to correct in Resolve.

Assuming I have a v90 card, what is the maximum resolution, framerate and codec i can record If i wish to record to both cards?
Asked by: Kelvin
Panasonic Lumix GH6 Mirrorless Camera allows recording to V90 card that is 600 Mbps or less. The only settings where you will need a CFExpress card is if you are recording Apple ProRes with a resolution of 4k or more, MOV video with a bit rate of 800 Mbps or more, or variable frame rate video recording in All-intra.
