When you need more than cold shoe

So, I use this to put a Wifi transmitter along with mini umbrella on a post above my camera setup. I use the CamRAnger II connected by cable to my camera. I also use it with the Vello Extenda. They both need shade during the summer on a sunny day. I use mini umbrellas to give that shade and the arms on this product enable me to position the umbrella to protect the electronics on the other shoe...and then move the umbrella as the sun moves and keep the shade properly positioned.

Will the Profoto A1 slide into this?
Others that I tried are too tight for the profoto A1 to slide into the cold shoe
I have had similar experience with Profoto A1 flash and Canon Speedlite EL-5. Both are too tight to fit into Smallrig cold shoes.
