Designed to drive everything from low- to high-Z loads for headphones or loudspeakers, the HPA V550 Headphone Amp and Preamp from Violectric delivers versatile functionality and low-noise, low-distortion circuits specially optimized for dynamic and orthodynamic headphones. With support for headphone impedance loads of 16 to 600 ohms, the V550 can drive the most demanding headphones, while pre-gain selection via DIP switch and pre- or post-fader selection make the unit equally comfortable as a high-fidelity studio preamplifier.
The V550 sports balanced stereo Neutrik XLR outputs and inputs, two unbalanced RCA inputs, four unbalanced RCA outputs, two unbalanced 1/4" stereo TRS headphone outputs, and one fully balanced, Neutrik XLR 4-pin stereo headphone output with gold-plating for true balanced headphone amplification. This amp features plenty of control over your amplified signal with standard volume control with balance knob, dedicated input and output selection, and a wireless infrared remote control for conveniently controlling volume and selecting inputs or outputs.
