    IOGEAR KeyMander Nexus Reviews

    Annoying setup, but works fine.

I'm used to KVMs working out of the box. Cable them up to PCs and peripherals, power them on, and use them. To use this, you first have to configure the KVM. To do that, you have to download a smartphone app, get your phone connected to the KVM via Bluetooth, and then use it to configure the port settings and to enable audio. What? The app needs some work, as the manual's instructions for the app don't match how the app actually works. I got through it but it was annoying. The KVM would not let me use the port 2 connected PC until I had run the app and confirmed that I wanted to use the KVM's shipping settings, of PCs on all three ports, although it did let me run the port 1 PC. Also, it has a multicolor LED follow light around the front panel, which has given me a serious headache. I had to deal with that for about 20 minutes before I was able to switch it off. In the app, of course. Step 1 of the firmware upgrade is to power the KVM off. There's no power switch. OK, let's unplug it instead. Then we remove all cables, restart with two buttons pressed, and then connect a USB cable from the KVM to a PC being used for the upgrade, and go from there. The problem with this is there's now no video because you've disconnected the cables as instructed, but there's no instruction to re-connect the video cable, just to reconnect the USB cable. I know, I'm being picky, but since the app is mandatory, someone should have debugged the documented procedure. Once you're through the setup, which all told was more than 30 minutes, you're ready to use the KVM. Once configured, the KVM seems to work fine. Video quality is good. Setup is asinine, but so far, the product seems to work as intended.

    Highly recommend

works exactly as described and I no longer need to use a optical splitter with my PS5 for my Astro A50 headphones as it is detected properly with my PC and consoles. The picture is also clear and the mouse and keyboard support works perfectly. Definitely recommended and worth the cost
