Building on the success of the original SpinDeck, the white SpinDeck 2 Semi-Automatic Two-Speed Turntable from Andover Audio now adds semi-automatic operation and electronic speed control for consistent rotation at 33 1/3 or 45 rpm. With semi-automatic control, just lifting the aluminum tonearm from its holder will automatically start the platter to spin. Once a record is finished, you can relax as the tonearm automatically returns to its holder, which causes the platter to stop. With a pre-installed Audio-Technica magnetic cartridge and built-in RIAA preamp, you can start to spin records right out of the box by connecting an optional RCA cable to powered speakers or your existing audio system.
Consistent and Skip-Free Operation
When creating the SpinDeck 2, Andover Audio worked to ensure that the only thing you hear out of your speakers is your music. The solid MDF plinth is equipped with an electronically stabilized belt-driven DC motor, and soft rubber feet. These components are designed to reduce vibration and ensure quiet and consistent platter rotation. To further reduce unwanted resonance, the aluminum platter comes equipped with a silicone mat.
Vinyl Protection
If your tracking force is too high, you can risk damaging your precious vinyl. To alleviate this, the SpinDeck 2 is equipped with a light-tracking Audio-Technica magnetic cartridge. To further dial in the perfect tracking force, the tonearm features a fully adjustable counterweight.
