Due to the overwhelming rise of digital CMYK printing, Pantone is fighting for its life. In so doing, it releases new colors to quietly force designers, clients, and printers to purchase their new products. As with any decreasing market share, Pantone keeps raising prices. Their products are good. They just cost too darned much.
