Rycote OM-08 Reviews

Smooth and Quiet

These have a beautifully balanced frequency response with nice low frequency extension. Not hyped, just present and smooth. They are also very quiet and exceptional for nature recording (which is my purpose) I'm using the set in a modified Crown SASS rig which is light years better than the original. Very happy with the results.

The limited manufacturer's warranty provided with the Rycote OM-08 does not include any stipulations regarding country of purchase; the warranty terms provide coverage for all purchases from an authorized reseller (such as B&H).

Do we know anything about the ...

Do we know anything about the weather-/moisture-resistance for this mic?
Asked by: NICK
Infocard in the box generically says "Please use mics for their intended purpose and keep away from water and other liquids that can damage electronic components and other materials". While I have yet to have them in high humidity, I did record melting ice break up on Lake Superior very recently and had no problem.
