GVM BD45R Overview

The 48" BD45R Bi-Color RGB LED Light Wand from GVM has a 45W beam and a 97 CRI rating for precision color rendering. It works as a serious light source or a fun, handheld accessory light for spontaneous effects. The light is capable of pinpoint color selection in color temperature, hue, and saturation, or RGB modes, while its 12 scene light effects and 6 Pixel FX modes allow for creative and vibrant combinations. The light is dimmable in three brightness presets by pushing the power button, or on a precision scale of 1 to 100% in the settings.

The light's settings can be adjusted from a panel on the light itself, wirelessly from your phone via Bluetooth with a downloadable app, or with an additional pair of 3-pin XLR ports for wired communication and an optional DMX device. The LED Wand Light can be powered by the included NP-F lithium-ion batteries for total freedom of movement or with the included AC adapter.

for the price you get 2 48” RGB tubes with aluminum bodies and multiple mounting points. Batteries, chargers, AC adapter, grid system and a very solid case with rollers. -these lights are blindingly bright but produce insanely soft light. -usable app control AND onboard controls -master/slave mode for DMX -super rich full spectrum RGB with no flicker. I used these for a short film recently and bought two more to use for portraits and creative shoots. These are going to be getting a lot of use this fall.

I made the mistake and only bought one of these when they had a great sale going on. Thought I would give it a try and I have been blown away. The light is simply brilliant. The colors are great. The light is not exceptionally harsh like it is on most LED's. It diffuses really great. I have used this for commercial, short films and for my youtube podcast as a keylight. If they put it back on sale at the price of 199.00 I am going to buy a couple more to complete it out.
