Since this is passive, it's bidirectional, right? So I can take the signal from XLR line level to an 1/8" video capture input.
The Sescom AUD-TRS-BAL 3.5mm Stereo Unbalanced Audio to Dual XLR Balanced Converter Cable has male connectors on the XLR ends (which are used for connection to XLR inputs) and converts an unbalanced 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo output signal to a balanced XLR input signal, so it would not work. As an option for connecting dual XLR line output to an 1/8" (3.5mm) line input, you can use a standard Y-cable like the Hosa Technology Stereo Mini Angled Male to Two 3-Pin XLR Female Y-Cable - 1' (B&H # HOYCSMMR2XF1). If the 1/8" (3.5mm) input is a mic-level input, you can use a level-matching cable like the Sescom Attenuating Line to Mic Level Cable - TRS Male to Female XLR, 18" (B&H # SES43DBMZ2XJ), which will convert the line-level signal to mic level.
