Use the FeelWorld CUT6S 6" 4K HDMI Touchscreen Recorder/Monitor to both view and capture 3G-SDI or HDMI video. This onboard monitor supports up to 1080p60 input and output via SDI and UHD 4K60 input and 1080p60 output via HDMI with the ability to view an applied LUT. The CUT6S can power select cameras via its 8.4V barrel output. The CUT6S features a 6" 1920 x 1080 touchscreen display, one 3G-SDI input, one 3G-SDI output, one HDMI 2.0 input, and one HDMI 1.4 loop output supporting up to 1080p60 resolution video. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also provided for audio monitoring on set.

FeelWorld CUT6 Overview

Use the FeelWorld CUT6S 6" 4K HDMI Touchscreen Recorder/Monitor to both view and capture 3G-SDI or HDMI video. This onboard monitor supports up to 1080p60 input and output via SDI and UHD 4K60 input and 1080p60 output via HDMI with the ability to view an applied LUT. The CUT6S can power select cameras via its 8.4V barrel output. The CUT6S features a 6" 1920 x 1080 touchscreen display, one 3G-SDI input, one 3G-SDI output, one HDMI 2.0 input, and one HDMI 1.4 loop output supporting up to 1080p60 resolution video. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also provided for audio monitoring on set.

The CUT6S's intuitive operating system is navigated with touch and swipe gestures and offers access to tools and functions such as built-in HDR and 3D LUTs, anamorphic de-squeeze, vectorscope, zoom, focus assist, and additional display functions. The CUT6s enables you to upload up to 50 3D LUTs via a micro-SD card slot. Power options include an integrated L-series battery plate and a DC power input port.

Monitor/Recorder
The CUT6S monitor enables you to record up to 1080p30 MP4 video from compatible cameras using its USB 2.0 port with FAT32 support. This monitor supports live LUT application with the ability to upload up to 50 LUTs. Total recording time is dependent on your external storage capacity.
SDI & HDMI Input/Output
  • Connect to virtually any camcorder or cine-style camera via the SDI and HDMI inputs and output video to a larger display or to a wireless transmitter.
  • Monitor embedded audio via the 3.5mm stereo headphone jack for audio monitoring.
  • Mount the CUT6S using the 1/4"-20 threads on the top, bottom, and right side.
  • Includes a tilting cold shoe mount to help you get the best viewing angle.
Live Stream Recording
Use the CUT6S monitor to capture your continuous live stream, not just highlights or an OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) local recording. The ability to record with an applied LUT saves time in post-production.
Touchscreen Workflow
The operating system and new user interface provide a tap and swipe workflow with easy-to-use function icons including a record button. A button wheel on the top of the monitor provides alternate control to the touchscreen.
Built-In HDR
The CUT6S features built-in HLG 2020, HLG 709, and HLG P3 HDR modes, enabling you to view and capture nuanced footage with a wide dynamic range and true colors.
3D LUT Support
  • Load up to 50 custom LUTs via the micro-SD card slot.
  • Output a LUT image to a director's monitor via the HDMI loop-out.
Interfaces
  • Connect to virtually any camera via the SDI or HDMI inputs and output video to a larger display or to a wireless transmitter.
  • Monitor embedded audio via the 3.5mm stereo headphone jack for audio monitoring.
  • Mount the CUT6S using the 1/4"-20 threads on the top, bottom, and right side.
  • Includes a tilting bracket to help you get the best viewing angle.
Integrated Fan
The built-in fan cools the monitor and can be adjusted to low, middle, and high settings.
Power Options
  • Power the CUT6S using the integrated L-series battery plate and a separately available battery or using the 12 VDC barrel input port for continuous power.
  • Provide power for select cameras using the 8.4 VDC power output. 
Note:
When turning off the monitor, you need to press the power button—do not pull out the power cable directly.

Flimsy, bad design, washed out images

Used once and it turned itself at least 4 times even though it was on constant power. Takes a very long time to power up and get the image, maybe 10 seconds. The scroll wheel used to control the menu is very loose and like it will break very quickly. The design is not intuitive at all, and takes forever to adjust any settings. The image is washed out and lacks contrast and saturation.

Will the screen work the menu system on Canon EOS R and does autofocus work on the screen?

The FeelWorld CUT6S 6" 4K 3G-SDI/HDMI Touchscreen Recorder/Monitor would not offer direct camera control. The touch screen would be used for the monitors many functions, and color checking tools.

There are many Mirrorless camera models that could work with dummy battery cables when using the 8.4v output of the FeelWorld CUT6 6" 4K HDMI Touchscreen Recorder/Monitor. Examples could be Sony A7SIII and Sony FX3.
