Nice to have a simple, sleek, adapter to charge d-tap batteries when you don't have access to a big charging hub.

Excellent solar charging solution

I use these to charge a 98wh vmount battery in about 5 hours with a 28-watt lightweight solar panel when I’m on shoots in the mountains. They are fantastic because they work both ways - to charge the battery and then to tap the battery to charge all my other devices with a usb hub.

Yes, the IndiPRO Tools D-Tap to USB-C Quick-Charging Adapter & Power Supply (10") would be able to charge the IDX System Technology SB-U50 PD Sony BP-U Lithium-Ion Battery safely using USB-PD power. Battery - Power Outputs: (1) D-Tap (35W), (1) USB-C PD; Input/ Output: 30W max. (5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/2.5A,15V/2A)

How fast and effective is it to change a MacBook Pro 16"?

The IndiPRO Tools D-Tap to USB-C Quick-Charging Adapter & Power Supply (10") can deliver up to 100W of charging and so would be as fast and effective as a 100W USB-C charger. Your charging time would depend on your Apple MacBook Pro 16" model.
