Experience true surround sound with the Bar 700 620W 5.1-Channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar System from JBL. The Bar 700 features two rear surround speakers that detach from the main soundbar when you want to enjoy cinematic surround sound, and reattach for non-surround TV shows or music streaming. Each rear speaker wirelessly syncs to the main soundbar and are conveniently battery powered. Add in wireless music streaming and USB MP3 playback, and the Bar 700 can easily serve as your home's complete audio entertainment solution.

Wireless & USB Music Playback
The Bar 700 system is made for more than TV, movies, and gaming. Connect it to your home network via dual-band Wi-Fi to stream content from hundreds of available services. Play music, podcasts, and internet ratio, with support for AirPlay, Alexa Multi-Room Music (MRM), and Chromecast built-in. You also have the option of streaming directly from a mobile device using Bluetooth, or you can plug in an (optional) USB drive to play your MP3 library.
Clear Dialogue with PureVoice
With the Bar 700, you can leave the subtitles off as JBL's PureVoice technology uses a unique algorithm to enhance vocal clarity, so you don't miss a word.
HDMI eARC with 4K Dolby Vision Passthrough
Setting up the Bar 700 with your system is simplified through the single included HDMI cable when using HDMI eARC. The Bar 700 supports HDMI eARC and 4K video passthrough with HDR10 and Dolby Vision compatibility for improved contrast.
Play Audio with Your Voice
When paired with compatible digital-assistant-enabled smart speakers, the Bar 700 will let you use either Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri to play music using a simple voice command.
JBL One App
Download the JBL One app to your compatible mobile device to remotely manage the Bar 700 and other compatible JBL speakers. You can use the app to easily setup the Bar 700, customize its EQ, personalize settings, and browse integrated music services.
Custom Sound Calibration
The Bar 700's integrated sound calibration feature can adjust the Bar 700's output to match the specific design of your room, optimizing the quality of audio playback and surround sound.

The USB on the JBL Bar 700 620W 5.1-Channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar System supports MP3 playback and allows updates to the unit.

what happens if the batteries die or no longer can charge? can the batteries be changed in the detachable speakers

The detachable surround speakers in the JBL Bar 700 620W 5.1-Channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar System have a built-in rechargeable battery that connects via USB-C for charging. The internal rechargeable batteries are not user replaceable. So you would need to contact JBL tech support to assist with providing support to replace the internal rechargeable battery.
