I was looking to extend my side handle a bit, but it doesn’t actually fit my nato rail on the cage

Doesn't actually fit a NATO rail

What a disappointment! This is the ONLY product quite like it on the market and it doesn't even fit a NATO rail. I needed to extend my side handle just a little bit farther away from the cage. Kondor Blue makes a similar product that's meant to extend a monitor vertically, but it's quite a bit larger than it needs to be. This is the perfect size, if... it was actually compliant with NATO sizing. It's just ever so slightly too narrow to slide onto the cage. Also, it arrived missing the pictured set screw that prevents items from sliding too far.

Can you adjust the nato lock tension?

Can you adjust the nato lock tension?

Just to elaborate, I posed this question so I could leave feedback regarding it. The other answer to this question is not entirely accurate. I was able to adjust the tension of the lock pretty easily. I unscrewed the two allen bolts, which pulls the female nato lock off. On the back are two very small screws. You unscrew them and there is a ring with teeth. You pull the locking lever off that and then rotate the teeth - one way or the other to adjust the locking tension. Then put it all back together. Mine was a little loose. Now it fits perfect when the lever is fully closed. I noticed that somebody rated this with one star because they said it didn't fit their rail. It's possible those teeth were set too tight in the unlocked position for that user. Just wanted to get this out there. Tilta also makes a 15mm rod adapter to female nato, and a user mentioned you could adjust that clamp similarly. That's how I thought to try it with this version. I bought both.
