Klipsch The Nines Reviews

Excellent choice!

I purchased these for a) turntable, b) streaming, c) replace an old soundbar. I'm thrilled with them so far. The setup/connectivity was simple, bluetooth pairing works very well, there are inputs for turntable, laptop/phone, tv and more. The app is decent enough, with controls and presets for bass/mid/treble, and while a little slower to connect than I'd like, works well. I'd like more presets for genres beyond rock, but there's a custom setting so you can tweak on the fly as you prefer. The sound is very impressive. I used a pair of powered KEF LS50 II (gen 1), which are the best rated speakers in this price range, but I much prefer the sound of the Nines over the Kefs. The Klipsh has more of a warm feel, while the Kefs are very clean but lack that warmth, in my opinion. You can't lose with either choice, just know that they each have a different sound. I haven't added a sub yet; the bass is very decent without, so it's not a rush. I also purchased the matching stands from the Klipsch website, which are great and recommended.

High Caliber Do-It-All Speakers

I bought these for their connectivity and value: HDMI ARC for home theatre, phono input for our turntable, and aux for any other streaming devices. The equalizer in the Klipsch Connect app also works flawlessly and immediately to change settings over Bluetooth while playing from any source. Other stand-out features: the speakers power on and select the correct audio source automatically. You can watch TV one moment and later power on your turntable, and your records will play seamlessly without fiddling with any app or remote at all. Klipsch also sells a great set of speaker stands separately at a great value. Look for the 24 KS Series stands.
