RealTime PureRead utilizes the PureRead 4+ algorithm to minimize errors when importing audio CDs and during playback, providing real-time reduction of error data interpolation due to dirt and scratches on the surface of the disc. Take advantage of the Custom Eco function which helps reduce the device's power consumption, while the optical disc technology delivers quiet operation and high reliability and quality. This optical drive includes CyberLink Media Suite 10, a Windows-compatible software allowing smooth playback of UHD movies.

Ultra HD Blu-ray & M-DISC Support

Play Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray movies or create your own by utilizing the included CyberLink Media Suite 10 for Windows. This optical drive is compatible with all BDXL Blu-ray media, and M-DISC for long-term storage.

Note:

Playback of Ultra HD Blu-ray requires a CPU that supports Intel SGX drivers. Ultra HD playback is not available on Mac.

PureRead 4+

If read errors caused by scratches or fingerprints occur when importing or ripping audio CDs, this function allows for automatic detection of the disc state, adjustment of the read method using an original algorithm, and then re-reading of the disc. This minimizes error data interpolation.

Construction and Cooling

This product features a unique honeycomb structure that increases the rigidity of the housing and minimizes unnecessary vibration. When listening to an audio CD or watching a movie on BD or DVD, this drive commutes airflow generated within the drive by the rotation of the disc, circulating it effectively to reduce temperatures. Temperature increase occurs when the disc is rotated for extended periods or at a high speed.

Custom Eco Functionality

If the drive does not receive any commands or instructions for operation from the computer for a specified period, the Custom Eco function will reduce the drive's power consumption by stopping the disc from rotating or reducing the disc's rotation speed. Shortening this specified period will make the drive enter the power-saving mode earlier.

Display

An HDCP-compliant display is required for Blu-ray playback; a 1024 x 768 minimum display resolution is supported. Please note, HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) support is required only for playback of high-definition copy-protected content. For such content, the connection between the host and the display device must be made using a compatible DVI, HDMI, or DisplayPort cable.
