Screws come loose over time

I loved idea of this cage, but it has never been super snug and the screws come loose over time. LOVE having the battery mount on it however. If they could just get it to fit better and have less screws that can come loose, I think it could work.

Great quality cage, using with iPad Pro as monitor for Red Komodo X

I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Gen 1 cage, but this version is fantastic. Fits my iPad Pro perfectly and it feels locked-in securely. It include a USB-C cable to connect from the Sony battery connector to the iPad Pro USB-C port. Although it’s easy to tuck away if you want to connect to a wall charger or your Mac. The back where the battery connects also folds out so this can stand horizontally on a table. I purchased two small Tilta nato rails and two wooden Tilta 1/4-20” handles and that makes this an extremely powerful and flexible viewing monitor for clients, and even better using the Red iOS app for camera control or direct monitoring for focus pulling. It creates a clean, rugged, professional monitoring solution that makes clients or operators appreciate this package over much smaller screen setup. Assuming you already owns 12.9” iPad Pro, this additional investment is worth it!

What's the internal depth? Does the ipad have to ...

What's the internal depth? Does the ipad have to be bare, or can the cage accommodate a small protective case on the ipad?

The depth of the cage is 10.5mm, per a conversation with Accsoon Support. I was able to make this work on an iPad Pro 13" with a slim case to add depth, as the new gen iPad is thinner than previous models. Case depth is ~9mm and it fits fine. A bit fiddly to get on the ipad though.

The Accsoon PowerCage Pro II for the 12.9” iPad Pro could work with a V-mount battery if you use a Sony L-style D-Tap dummy battery cable such as the Kondor Blue D-Tap To Sony L Series Dummy Battery NPF Cable (16-36"), B&H # KODTAPSLBK. If you want to mount the battery to the cage, the following Smallrig mount would work with a shoe connection: the SmallRig Battery/Power Supply Mounting Plate for DJI RS Stabilizers (B&H # SM4189).
