Elvid WCM-55-HD Overview

Transmit, receive, and monitor high-quality wireless video transmissions using the compact SkyVision 5.5" Wireless HD Monitor from Elvid. The SkyVision monitor features a 5.5" touchscreen display with 1000 cd/m² brightness, sharp resolution, and vibrant colors for follow focus and director's monitoring applications in any environment.

Its built-in wireless transceiver allows you to send video to iOS tablets, smartphones, or other monitors with the SkyVision app to follow the action from afar from a distance of up to 500'. You can also record the camera's stream onto a microSD card and easily access the proxy MP4 files via the built-in card slot.

The monitor supports up to 1080p60 video input via its HDMI input, and it features an HDMI loop output that supports viewing your output on a secondary monitor or switch. Built-in firmware provides multiple imaging tools such as scopes, peaking, and markers. Three programmable function buttons provide quick access to your most frequently used tools without interrupting your workflow. Eight built-in LUTs can be used, or you can utilize additional LUTs by adding them via the microSD card slot. Power the monitor all day using its built-in dual L-series battery plate or via its DC input with an optional DC adapter.

Full HD Display
The SkyVision monitor is designed with a 5.5" 1920 x 1080 resolution touchscreen LCD with 1000 cd/m² brightness and a 1200:1 contrast ratio for precise color rendering.
Wireless Transmitter
The SkyVision monitor can wirelessly transmit an incoming signal to another SkyVision monitor and one mobile device. Activating Transmitter mode enables monitoring in real time from up to 500' away, so a director or clients can comfortably follow the action when you're shooting in a wide-open area like a sports field or concert venue.
Wired On-Camera Monitor
The monitor features HDMI input and HDMI loop output, as well as a 3.5mm headphone output.
Wireless Receiver
In receiver mode, the SkyVision can monitor the signal from a SkyVision transmitter up to 500' away in full HD resolution. Even in receiver mode, you can use the onboard monitoring and broadcast tools to get the most out of the SkyVision.
SkyVison App
Any iOS device with the SkyVision app can pair with a SkyVision transmitter and remotely monitor the camera. Ideal for clients, directors, and talent, the easy-to-use SkyVision app will put you in the middle of the action as you watch on your iPhone or iPad.
Preloaded and Custom LUTs
Eight selectable 3D LUT presets to map the colors to the monitor for a consistent, high-quality effect. You can also load your own custom LUTs using the microSD slot.
Programmable Function Buttons
Three programmable function buttons let you create shortcuts to the most frequently used tools. This lets you quickly access broadcast-specific functions, as well as the features you need to fine-tune your image, with a single press of a button.
Recording and Playback
The SkyVision records MP4 format proxy files onto a microSD card, and it can record the video and audio when set to transmitter or receiver mode. This option can be used for on-camera or remote playback, and you can use it to back up your MP4 proxy files.

Wireless Option and Decent Monitor

This was on sale, so I thought I'd take a chance. It works as advertised, and can wirelessly stream to an iPad while daisy-chaining via HDMI to other field-monitors. A decent product.

Transmitter does not work

Bought it for its ability to work as a transmitter to an iPhone, but does not work properly. The app seems outdated and even though my iPhone connects to the wireless signal from the monitor, it does not connect to the monitor via the app. Save your money and buy a legit transmitter/receiver set.
