Unistellar eQuinox 2 Overview

The eQuinox 2 114mm f/4 Digital Reflector Telescope from Unistellar is an innovative smart telescope that brings the wonders of space within reach, even in brightly lit urban areas. Its Smart Light Pollution Reduction technology uses advanced image processing to filter out the effects of city lights, allowing for clear, high-resolution images of celestial objects. With the eQuinox 2, you can see the stunning blue and red hues of the Ring Nebula or the red spot of Jupiter, even from the heart of the city.

Instead of an optical eyepiece, the eQuinox 2 uses a low-light sensitive imaging sensor and an onboard imaging processing computer to create and stream views of celestial objects directly to phones and tablets. With its fast automatic alignment system, you spend less time setting up and more time observing the wonders of the night sky. The device utilizes image stacking and live image processing techniques to provide a truly unique viewing experience of outer space.

Optical Tube
  • Unique design eliminates traditional eyepieces and substitutes in a low-light detector sensor for viewing on a computer, tablet, or phone
  • 34 x 47 arcmin field of view
Imaging System
  • Onboard image processing computer provides clear and detailed views, even in areas with heavy light pollution
  • Autonomous Field Detection system uses your phone's GPS and its own database of millions of stars to accurately point even to stars that are not visible to the naked eye, without the need for polar alignment or finderscopes
  • Automatic light pollution filter software "cleans up" the noise that usually obscures conventional observation
  • Onboard 64GB of memory
App Control
  • App is available for iOS and Android
  • Database of over 5000 objects with object recommendations, information, and stats
  • Set up your telescope outside and observe in the comfort of your home on hot summer and cold winter nights
Mount and Tripod
  • Motorized alt-azimuth mount automatically tracks objects and allows user input via app
  • Integrated rechargeable battery with up to 11 hours of runtime
  • Three-stage aluminum tripod with secure snapping leg locks

The other posted answer to this question, from B&H is ridiculous. A German Equatorial Mount would be the last sort of mount you would want to use for observing terrestial
