LG BU70QGA Reviews

Something's Wrong with the Design

The first unit I received had an issue with the mechanical motor that controlled the horizontal and vertical lens adjustment. It sounded like the motor just lost grip. There was also an issue of color uniformity. When white balancing the projector using the built in white screen, the left side of the screen had a green/yellow hue while the right was a pink/blue. LG swapped the unit and the second one I received had the same color issue but even more problems with the motor controlling the lens adjustment. It wouldn't focus or adjust vertical. LG then swapped that unit. This third one has a working lens motor but the color uniformity is still very obviously the same. It's been two weeks of waiting for LG to respond. I had to call so they could escalate it to an engineer. Hopefully I just have bad luck in the units being sent and it's not a complete manufacturing error on all the current units.
