Remote Cloud management capabilities may be enabled with the subscription-based Netgear Insight service.     I have a home network, and do not want/need the Netgear management subscription. I was trying to link old hardware that does not support new Netgear defaults, and Netgear support was useless. I filed a case that was never responded to. AI saved the day

    Wonderfull switch, Terrible support experience

    This is a great switch, easy to configure works well. However, I went to mount it on the wall with the screw slots provided in the back. Slid the switch on and it stoped working. Contacted support, turns out that there is a thin plastic cover between the circuit board and where the mounting screw hole is. The screw likely had a sharp edge and cut though the thin plastic cover and shorted out the switch. Netgear refuses to help me out so I need to buy a replacement switch. The Support engineer was actually kinda rude and said I used too much force. Sad to say, I was going to upgrade my wireless system to a Netgear solution, but now, I'm not buying any more Netgear products. Their Lifetime warrantee has lots of caveats. If you have have this product, take extra caution mounting it, they dont have much protection around the mounting holes. If possible use a plastic screw.
