EastWest Forbidden Planet + String Machine Bundle combines two powerful synth plug-ins, Forbidden Planet and String Machine, to provide a comprehensive musical palette for composers and producers looking to add unique and expressive accents to their music—from otherworldly sci-fi sounds to retro-inspired string and vocal synth sounds.
Journey to the outer reaches of the sonic universe with EastWest Forbidden Planet, a hybrid-synth plug-in that offers a vast collection of cinematic and heavy-hitting synths with futuristic sounds, perfect for soundtracks, EDM, hip hop, and more. Forbidden Planet features a premier collection of sampled analog synthesizers (both modern and vintage), acoustic instruments from rock, orchestral, choir, to world-music genres, plus other sound-design elements. Freely morph between electronic- and acoustic-instrument layers, or choose from 650 curated instruments that are playable out of the box—including Bass, Drones, FX, Leads, Pads, and Poly Synths.
Featuring an impressive suite of postprocessing and mixing tools, advanced filter modulation, dual arpeggiator, and an extensive rack of effects, all powered by the critically acclaimed OPUS engine. Forbidden Planet gives you a deep level of sound-manipulation possibilities for unprecedented sonic-shaping power with presets that you can customize.
Add a slice of vintage flavor to your productions with the EastWest String Machine, a virtual instrument plug-in that's inspired by vintage string machines such as the Arp Solina, Oberheim OBX, Roland RS-505, and Roland Jupiter 6. String Machine also features the classic ensemble chorus found on most vintage string synthesizers. The included ensemble chorus features three modes, each with distinctive characteristics.
The user interface is designed to emulate a classic string machine, adorned with tons of switches and sliders. The instrument is broken into four color-coded sections including string machines and pads (red), section strings (green), solo woodwinds and brass (teal), and choirs and soloist (orange). The software utilizes a dedicated Opus playback engine, which provides a searchable browser and the ability for users to customize their sounds. It is compatible with Mac and Windows. It runs as standalone software or operates in AU, VS2, VST3, or AAX formats.
