ASUS Strix SCAR 16 16" Overview

With the off black ASUS 16" Republic of Gamers Strix SCAR 16 Gaming Laptop, you'll be able to play your favorite PC games at 1440p with high frame rates while on the go. Powered by the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX 24-Core processor and 32GB of 4800 MHz DDR5 RAM, this gaming laptop can handle all your games and apps with ease. The 1TB SSD allows for fast boot and load times. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 features 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM and can provide real-time raytracing and DLSS support. The 16" ROG Nebula display features a QHD+ 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate, and up to 1100 nits of brightness, allowing for Dolby Vision support. You can output to an external display via HDMI 2.1.

Play online multiplayer games via the reliable, wired 2.5 GbE LAN connection or go wireless with Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax). Connect compatible peripherals and accessories, such as a gaming mouse or controller, wirelessly with Bluetooth 5.2. Other features include Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, and USB-A ports. Windows 11 Pro is the installed operating system.

13th Gen Intel Core Performance
The system is powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX processor. It can reach a stock speed of 2.2 GHz and can be boosted up to 5.6 GHz. There are eight performance cores and sixteen efficiency cores for a total of 24 cores.

16" ROG Nebula HDR Display
The 16" ROG Nebula HDR display features a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and 240 Hz refresh rate for fast, 1440p gaming while on the go. The display can also reach up to 1100 nits of brightness, which is great for Dolby Vision HDR content.
MUX Switch with Advanced Optimus
A MUX Switch increases laptop gaming performance by 5 to 10% by routing frames directly from the dedicated GPU to the display bypassing the integrated graphics. With Advanced Optimus, the switch between integrated graphics and the dedicated GPU becomes automatic based on the task, optimizing battery life.
ROG Intelligent Cooling
The SCAR 16 features upgraded liquid metal on both the CPU and GPU, and a third intake fan among other premium features, to allow for better sustained performance over long gaming sessions.
Gaming Design
The SCAR 16 embodies the ROG distinct style with a unique chassis design with dot matrix elements, a semi-translucent keyboard deck, and RGB accents in the front, rear, and, of course, the keyboard.
Customizable Armor Caps
Add a pop of personality to your chassis with Customizable Armor Caps. One additional color option comes in the box so you can swap out effortlessly, letting you switch up your style anytime. For a fully customized touch, ASUS also has a 3D printing template that makes it easy to create original looks of your own.
Windows 11 Pro
Microsoft simplified the design and user experience with Windows 11. It has a modern, clean design with a new Start Menu position. Snap Layouts, Groups, and Desktops allow you to multitask with ease. Microsoft has also integrated some of their apps, such as Microsoft Teams. The redesigned Microsoft Store makes it easier to look for supported apps. The Pro version of Windows 11 includes all the features that Windows 11 Home offers plus many designed specifically for business users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access.
