Godox WT25R Reviews

Nice light, clunky app

Rated 4 out of 5

No problems using the light in a 4ft deep performance tank and surprisingly the Bluetooth connection remained active and was usable with the light underwater and phone several feet away. The light is still bright in the water, but depending on your usage or the depth, you may want to go with the 25 except the price difference is rather steep. The app: when you're in the color picker it keeps the phone screen awake so you can change colors, but color wheel could be bigger and easier to find. It has some pre set color options, unfortunately I don't see a way to change these or set favorites. Location access is also required, but this seems like a telemetry overreach. The app is also difficult to understand, had to watch a third party video to figure out how to set it up. No doubt we will see this rebadged like the Godox battery strobes, maybe one of those companies will come up with a better app.
