Locking pins fit perfectly with the cages so no movement. FYI 15mm rod does not go all the way through so your rod has to be the right length.

Does the bare minimum

Screws in and fits very snugly, has been very convenient for smaller rigs and lightweight camera builds. But does flex a lot since it’s only anchored to a tiny 1/4-20 screw, so it can shift a bit and affect movement on lighter lenses

Does the 1/4-20 head insert enough to clear the 15mm aperture, so a rod can pass all the way through, or just a "spud" receiver?
Asked by: Andy
No, the Tilta 15mm Rod Holder to 1/4"-20 Anti-Twist Screw (Side Mount) does not have a full through-hole for a 15mm rod; it functions more like a spud receiver and will not let the rod pass completely through.
