Auray VOCDOC-ISOMD Overview

The VOCDOC-ISOMD Microphone Isolation Chamber from Auray is a fully enclosed microphone isolation chamber that effectively eliminates unwanted noises, reflections, and rumbles from your room for that crystal clear, clean, and tight professional iso-booth sound on your recordings. 1.6" thick high-density acoustic foam surrounds the interior of the durable, perforated aluminum shell. And the chamber door is outfitted with a double-layer pop filter for further protection from plosives and moisture.

The VOCDOC-ISOMD includes a movable and height-adjustable mic extender with a range of 3.5 to 5", making it easier to find the ideal position for your performance. With the 5/8"-27 stand adapter and four small-profile feet, you can mount the isolation chamber on most mic stands or directly onto your desktop. You also get four convenient holes on the bottom of the chamber for routing microphone cables.

Note:
Due to the weight of the VOCDOC-ISOMD, a heavy-duty microphone stand is recommended when mounting to a stand.
Iso Box
Unlike shield-shaped iso filters that can let room noise make its way to your microphone, the VOCDOC-ISOMD is an isolation chamber. It surrounds your microphone and creates 360-degree isolation that eliminates unwanted audio reflections and echoes.
Improved Sound Quality
Total mic isolation will give your vocal or VO that iso booth sound without an expensive studio setup. This iso chamber eliminates all the extraneous room ambiance, echoes, and reflections of an untreated room that can degrade the quality of your audio. Use the VOCDOC-ISOMD to improve the production quality of your audio wherever you record.
Perforated Shell
The perforated shell is another part of the VOCDOC-ISOMD's design that ensures your vocals are clean and tight. The perforation lets the sound pass through, so it doesn't reflect back into the microphone and create unwanted noise and ambient sound.
Acoustic Foam
This iso box surrounds your microphone with a 1.6" layer of high-density acoustic foam. This makes the internal space of the VOCDOC-ISOMD quiet and noise-free. Your vocals will sound like they were recorded in an acoustically treated studio.
Double-Layer Pop Filter
With all this mic isolation, you don't want breath noise or mini explosions caused by p and b sounds degrading your audio. To ensure vocal plosives don't mar your vocals, you can adjust the mic height, so the double-layer pop filter sits right in front of your microphone's capsule. Your vocalist can lean in and sing or speak with total freedom. If you want to add a little air to your vocal or narration, just remove the filter.
Tabletop or Stand-Mounted
If you're recording a podcast at your desk, or a singer using a mic stand, the VOCDOC-ISOMD will be right where you need it. The box is made with nonslip rubber feet for a desk or highly polished surface, and an adapter for mic stands.
